SINOPSIS SP
Un viaje por el imaginario personal que trasciende los bordes de lo visible para contener trazas del imaginario de habitantes de ciudades desconocidas. Los tanques de gas, gasometers o gasholders, son vestigios de la era de la estandardización que comienza con la revolución industrial y culmina casi dos siglos después con la globalizacion. Reconoceremos el tanque de gas de Barrio Sur, recorriendo sus formas, su gran estructura como evidencia del paso del tiempo, escuchando el entorno y los que nos está diciendo desde comienzos del siglo pasado hasta el tiempo actual.Extraños doppelgängers de este tanque familiar al lado del Río de La Plata revelarán otros aspectos de lo que sucede cuando el mundo alrededor cambia, pero ciertas estructuras, estoicas, permanecen.
SYNOPSIS ENG
A journey through personal imagination that transcends the boundaries of the visible to contain traces of the collective imagination of inhabitants of unknown cities. Gas tanks, gasometers, or gasholders are vestiges of the era of standardization that began with the Industrial Revolution and culminated almost two centuries later with globalization. We will explore the gas tank in Barrio Sur, examining its forms, its imposing structure as evidence of the passage of time, listening to its surroundings and what it has been telling us from the beginning of the last century to the present day. Strange doppelgängers of this familiar tank beside the Río de la Plata will reveal other aspects of what happens when the world around us changes, but certain structures, stoic, remain.
