
PAULA BONILLA
She holds a BA in Visual Arts (Photography, IENBA–Udelar) and is a film professor. She began as an actress (Uruguayos Campeones by Adrián Caetano), worked in NYC on 16/35mm productions, and later created experimental shorts, including the award-winning film Extraña ausencia. Her recent work blends music and cinema: she released two albums (including Ven, 2025), won a National Music Award (2023), and is developing her first feature film Taco de Reina.
CRISTINA NIGRO
She has a degree scenography from the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires. She has taught at EICTV in Cuba and ECU in Uruguay and collaborated with some of the region’s most renowned filmmakers, designing the visual style for films by Eliseo Subiela, Adolfo Aristarain, Daniel Burman, Lucrecia Martel, and Pablo Trapero. Her work has earned major awards, including the 2010 Condor de Plata for Best Production Design for Felicitas, directed by Teresa Constantini. Her project La Investigadora was supported by INCAA and won the Ibermedia Blood Window 70,000-dollar prize at Ventana Sur 2023.
